Day 4

Here we are on our last full day at Derwent Hill and the last blog post. We have had a fabulous day with only a little bit of rain. Group one have spent the day between the high ropes and the low ropes. Miss Hood was so impressed with their courage! Group 2 battled the wind this morning in their canoes on Derwent Water then had a bushcraft afternoon and made pizzas!! Group 3 have also been canoeing this morning then spent this afternoon orienteering in the grounds of Derwent Hill.

We have been so impressed with the behaviour and attitude of all of the children and it has been an absolute pleasure to spend the week with them. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Day 3

Another fabulous day at Derwent Hill. Group 1 have enjoyed canoeing and challenging themselves in the gorge. Group 2 have been on the big swing and gorge walking and group 3 have enjoyed their hill walk up Catbells!

Day 2

We have had a mixed day weather wise but the rain hasn’t put us off!! Today we have been concentrating on being part of a team. Team 1 and 2 have been out on their hill walk today taking in the beautiful views of the Lake District and helping each other face the challenges of hill walking. Group 3 spent the morning supporting each other during their gorge walk then concentrated on some personal challenge on the big swing this afternoon. We are preparing for tea then an indoor team challenge and we have cake to look forward to as we celebrate Evie’s 11th Birthday.

Day 1

Wow! What a day! We had an eventful journey and ended up transferring to another bus but we arrived safely.

This afternoon, group 1 have been exploring the grounds, group 2 have been on the low ropes course and group 3 have been on the low ropes course. We are looking forward to our night walk this evening.
